Usually, I drive fast and usually I would drive fast through a school zone because I was late for school or in a hurry to get somewhere. I leave my house late, thinking I can drive sort of fast to get to my destination on time.
We speed in school zones not because we want to endanger the lives of children, but because we know our own limitations as to how well of a driver we are. Most people are more cautious divers when there might be pedestrians. Therefore, we can speed because we have a better eye out.
I think I have speed in a school zone because that time the light not flash. That means you can keep your speed. Other once, if not any school bus around there or on the weekend, why cannot we speed in the school zone. That will waste our time when nobody there.
Sometimes if school zones aren't patrolled by cop cars or I can't visibly see any children being let out from school I'll drive a bit faster than the posted speed limit. A lot of times I'm usually driving faster on the roads and so it's difficult for me to get my speed down fast enough when entering into school zones as well.
The speed in a school zone is usually much lower than the rest of the road or highway. I catch myself accidentally speeding often in school zones. When I do, I make myself slow down because I can't imagine hitting a pedestrian or wrecking and hurting someone else.
I don't go like 15 mph over the speed limit in school zones, but I do speed a little bit if there is no traffic or kids around. It's not like I am not paying attention, and sometimes the speed limit is just too slow

I have only sped in a school zone before realizing that I was in one bc there were no lights indicating it was that time of day. I was in a hurry and it was right at 2:45 with no flashing lights and little traffic so I just wasn't paying attention.
I speed in a school zone because going under 35 miles per hour is way to slow. If kids are not getting ready to leave school I think the school zone speed should not matter.
Sometimes, I honestly miss the sign that I am in a school zone until after I am leaving the school zone, and then realize I was in a school zone. I also do speed through school zones when I am running late and need to be somewhere on time. I also speed through school zones when I do not realize it is the time that the school zone is in effect.
Because it feels awkward creeping slowly through a school zone with no one around you. It's different when there's a line of people and everyone is moving slowly, but when it's a later after school has been out a while and you're the only person on the road it just feels weird.
The only time that I will speed through a school zone is if I do not realize that I am driving through one and if I know that school has been let out for a long enough time that no children will be present. Sometimes the flashing lights are left on longer than they should be.
I don't speed if school just let out and children are around. Sometimes the lights are still flashing when no one is around though, and I think that it's pointless to not go the regular speed limit.

ReplyDeleteThe only time I sped through a school zone was when I was late to school in high school. I got pulled over and have never done it again.
ReplyDeleteI think I have speed in a school zone because that time the light not flash. That means you can keep your speed. Other once, if not any school bus around there or on the weekend, why cannot we speed in the school zone. That will waste our time when nobody there.
ReplyDeleteBecause, I believe the speeds are ridiculously to low.

ReplyDeleteI speed a little bit but only because there aren't going to be kids just running wild into the street, and if there are, I will see them.

ReplyDeleteI always drive fast
ReplyDeleteI have only sped in a school zone before realizing that I was in one bc there were no lights indicating it was that time of day. I was in a hurry and it was right at 2:45 with no flashing lights and little traffic so I just wasn't paying attention.

ReplyDeleteI speed in a school zone because I'm running late.
ReplyDeleteBecause nobody is picking their children up at 2:30 p.m. Plus, the police are not even directing traffic at this time.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when there are literally no cars or children it's hard not to. I like driving faster than normal, and 20 mph is hard to maintain
ReplyDeleteSometimes, I honestly miss the sign that I am in a school zone until after I am leaving the school zone, and then realize I was in a school zone. I also do speed through school zones when I am running late and need to be somewhere on time. I also speed through school zones when I do not realize it is the time that the school zone is in effect.
ReplyDeleteIt's usually a straight road and no cars or kids are around, so why not?

ReplyDeleteBecause I feel like I'm not moving fast enough.
ReplyDeleteLike with the seat belt issue, I speed in school zones when I am in a hurry.
ReplyDeleteThe only time that I will speed through a school zone is if I do not realize that I am driving through one and if I know that school has been let out for a long enough time that no children will be present. Sometimes the flashing lights are left on longer than they should be.
ReplyDeletei only speed when there is no kids at play.
ReplyDeleteI feel as if there is no one around and the school is not in session why do I need to go 25 through a straight away.
ReplyDeleteif school is out then I can go the regular speed limit
ReplyDeleteUsually because I just stay at the same speed I was at before I entered the school zone.
ReplyDeleteI usually speed through a school zone because I normally drive fast so I tend to keep the same speed wherever I go.
ReplyDeleteI never really pay attention to it unless school is still in
ReplyDeleteI don't speed if school just let out and children are around. Sometimes the lights are still flashing when no one is around though, and I think that it's pointless to not go the regular speed limit.
ReplyDeleteIf I speed I a school zone it is because I do not see any children walking around the area or because I am in a rush to be somewhere.
ReplyDeleteMainly because I don't see cops.
ReplyDeleteno cop no stop its after school and im ready to leave
