The only reason that it would be that important for me to be up front is if i knew i would feel sick in the back seat or if i didn't want to miss out on conversation with the driver b/c it's often hard to carry on a conversation with the driver and shotgun rider while you are in the back seat- esp if the music is playing. Sometimes it's just fun to try to get it from someone who gets it all the time or makes too big of a deal out of it. I'd call it and then run to the door, grab the handle and jump in if necessary. Also, if necessary, I would try to get the driver in on letting me have the front seat and I would lock the other person out while crawling to the shotgun seat from the driver's side
I front over the front seat because i get really car sick in the back. It also depends on the driver also. If i'm in the backseat with a driver that turns quickly or all of a sudden it will make me sick and feels as if i am on an amusement ride.
Im always in the front, I'm the driver. But my kids fight like cats and dogs over the front seat and I believe they do it for the sake of power play. It makes them feel important.
I always feel "out of the loop" if I ride in the back seat because I cannot engage in a conversation with those in the front. Also, if there are curvy roads, I tend to get car sick in the back.
I fight over the front seat in the car because i sometimes get car sick. Riding in the back of the car, not only makes me sick, but the front seat has a better view and i always feel left out of conversations sitting in the back. In the back of the car you do not get to engage in conversations with the driver and feel left out of the conversations the driver and the front seat rider are having.
I fight over the front seat because I get carsick and can't handle sitting in the back very often. Also, I can hear conversations better, get control of the air and radio, and the seats tend to be more comfortable.
I fight for the front seat of the car because it is the best seat in the car, in my opinion. You have access to the view of the road, the control of the radio and air conditioning, and you get to converse with the driver! Honestly, I am more inclined to fight over the front seat if I am good friends with the driver then I am with someone that I don't know very well or are not close with.
I sit in the front so that I don't get car sick. I also like the front because I feel like I am in the conversation. In the back, I feel left out, and can't hear what is being said in the front, especially if I am the only one sitting in the back.
It's a power issue. If one sits in the front seat, one is in charge of the radio, AC, everything. Plus, you don't have to sit cramped in the back with other people.
I love sitting in the front seat! Also sitting in the back seat tends to make me sick sometimes. And for some reason i just believe the front seat is more comfortable.
I feel more important in the front seat and I like to have control over the radio and air conditioning for the whole car. You can see everything much better as well. Riding in the passenger seat isn't a huge deal, but it's also a sense of pride calling "shotgun" over somebody else.
Well, I usually get car sick if I'm in the very back of a van or bus. But if I'm in a regular car, I want the front because there's more room if it's a full vehicle, and I get more control over the AC and the music.
I fight for the front seat because I am almost always the DJ for the car rides. Plus, it's more comfortable and you feel included in all the conversations happening in the car. The passenger seat provides the satisfaction of sitting up front without the stress of actually having to drive.
Well there are many reasons that I desire the front seat of the car. If it is a long car ride, I tend to get car sick if I am stuck in the back seat for too long. The front seat also has more space, especially if the car is full of people. There is also a better view from the front and I don't feel that anyone else deserves this but me.
The front seat gives you a better view to see everything. You can also be closer to the radio to change the station and be close to the air conditioner.
You have your own personal space if they are bucket seats. And this is very important if there is like 5 people in the car. And in the summer time you can be right in the line of the AC, very important!
I feel like because im usually bigger than the other person that i deserve the front seat and i feel like i have some sort of power when i get the front seat from the other person
I like being in the front seat of the car because i am kind of a control freak and if i am not in control by driving, then i like seeing everything that is going on and what the driver is doing. I also get pretty car sick and so it helps if i am in the front seat and can look out the front and side windows.
I get extremely car sick. Dramamine can help, but not enough usually. I like to be up front because it minimizes the motion sickness, and I can throw up out the window easier.
I fight over the front seat in the car because you have a better view, you can carry on a conversation better, you can change the music, you can recline your seat, you have air condition or heat that can blow on you, ect. A better question would be why do you not fight over the front seat of the car!
The front seat is where it is at! You have a better view and more room. You seat reclines and you can control the radio. Also, I get car sick in the back seat so I need the front seat.
I fight for the front seat for two reasons. One, I can keep an eye on the road in case the driver falls asleep or gets distracted. Two, when the car is full, it is uncomfortable to be sitting shoulder to shoulder with two other people.

- You can play DJ
- Have better conversations with the driver.

I am super competative, and I like to win at everything, including the fight for the front seat.

I fight over the front seat because I get car sick really easily. If I don't sit in the front seat I get sick and have a miserable car ride.
I like to see what's going on around me and it isn't as easy when you're in the backseat. Plus I have control of the music.
The front seat is where it is at! You have a better view and more room. You seat reclines and you can control the radio. Also, I get car sick in the back seat so I need the front seat.
Get to see all the action on the road. Always feel more in control. Get to be a "front seat" driver and not a back seat driver.
Because if you're in the front, you can control the aux cord.

Because I get carsick riding in the back.
