I play with my hair many times not even knowing I am playing with my hair. I play with my hair during class because it keeps me occupied and still paying attention to lecture. I play with my hair when i am bored or I am concentrating on something.
I play with my hair in public because it is something to keep me occupied when I get bored. For instance, in class, I play with my hair to keep me alert when I'm about to fall asleep.
I play with my hair in public because its my nervous habit. It makes me feel more confident in front of people. I play with my hair in public when there's a lot on my mind.
I play with my hair because my hair is one thing that I truly vain about. I also play with it when I am frustrated in some way shape or form. When I play with my hair it is the biggest tell for others to know that something is wrong.
I play with my hair because I like the way it feels and everyone in my family twirls their hair so it is something that I do all the time whether I am in public or not.
Playing with my hair in public is a terrible habit that I do when I am nervous or uncomfortable. I believe that I do it because I feel that it makes me look like I am busy and doing something rather than just awkwardly standing/sitting in a place I haven't been before.
I play with my hair as a nervous habit. Sometimes I do it when I'm bored, but more of the time it's just because I want to have something to do with my hands.
I do this ALL of the time in public! I guess I just have busy hands, and if I'm just sitting somewhere I do it without thinking. My dad and brothers always make fun of me for playing with my hair when i'm ordering at a restaurant, I guess its a habit I'll never live down!
I have such long hair so it is kind of hard not to play with my hair. I am constantly braiding my hair, running my fingers through my hair, and even smelling my hair in public. I do it so often that it has become a habit.
Playing with my hair in public is just something I do when I am sitting and thinking or concentrating. When you have long hair it's easy to just grab the ends of your hair and twirl them or twist them.
As with many other fidgets, playing with my hair is a habit. I not do it excessively but when I feel uncomfortable, out of place, or nervous I feel the need to do something with my hands to shift my focus. Many times, playing with my hair is the route I take.
I am a very self conscious person. Playing with my hair allows me to make sure that it is all in place and that I look good. I tend to play with it more when it is scrunched or I haven't fixed it that day but it brings me comfort.
Sometimes it's better than biting my nails, but if I get nervous or stressed I'll run my hands through my hair. Or if I am trying to think of a word for a paper I'm writing I'll play with my hair until I think of it.
I play with my hair as a nervous twitch. If I feel vulnerable or insecure you will catch me twirling my hair around my finger or braiding it repeatedly.
