Why do you drive the wrong direction in parking lots?

Most of the time when I drive in the wrong direction in parking lots is when I have pulled all the way through the parking spot before realizing that the spot in front of me will have me pulling out in the wrong direction. So mostly it is due to a mistake on my part, of course.
Sometimes going the wrong direction in a parking lot is faster and more convenient for the position you are in and there are no other cars coming towards you. Other times, i have not even realized that i am going the wrong way.
For myself, this is just like walking through an exit door. I never mean toon purpose. I just don't realize what I am doing until it is too late. Embarrassing...
I drive the wrong direction in parking lots because I feel no need to follow the arrows when other cars aren't around. It also lets me park faster than following the arrows.
I feel like I do this more often then not and I don't mean to at all! I think that I am so preoccupied with trying to find a spot that I forget to pay attention to the arrows!
I honestly do not mean to drive the wrong direction in parking lots. Most of the time I am not paying attention to the road because I am searching for a parking spot.
If it is not a busy parking lot i drive the wrong way to get to a certain spot, but if it is a busy place i go the right way so i do not back up traffic.
Just to be different, if the parking lot is empty or doesn't contain a lot of cars I'll drive down the wrong way , even make some illegal turns why not.
I usually only drive the wrong way in a parking lot because there is a space not available in another place or it would be too inconveniant to circle all the way back around when I could drive in the "wrong" direction.

I do this a lot, and it's because I don't realize what i've done till it's too late. whooops.

I drive in the wrong direction in parking lots when I see an open spot and I want to beat anyone else from getting to the spot.
Sometimes it's just easier. You just have to be careful!

It is just easier then turning, straightening, turning, etc.

If it gets me where I want to go faster, I will drive the wrong way!
