I don't pretend to be sick so I can miss class, but occasionally I need to miss a day to "recharge my batteries" and I always let my professors know when the situation arises.
If I pretend to be sick it is because I either have a ton of other things to get done that I absolutlely have no time to get done otherwise, or if it is a beautiful day outside in the spring & I can get out on the lake I might pretend to be sick.

If I ever pretend to be sick in order to miss class it is because I want to sleep in or I have a lot of stuff to get done.
if i ever pretend to be sick in order to miss class it is because i did not complete the required assignment or i just want to sleep in
I pretend to be sick on occasion if I want to get a little bit more sleep, or if i fell like missing the class won't be a problem.
Because some days i just dont feel like showing up for class and having an excuse that I'm sick may slide by with a teacher.

If I pretend to be sick to miss class, I am wanting to sleep in, or I have another assignment that takes priority over the class at that time.
Honestly, so I can study for another class that I have a test in that day.
If I pretend to be sick, usually it is because I haven't completed the assigned homework.
I'm probably really tired or I didn't do the assignment.
