Why do you text during movies?

Sometimes I text during movies because it's an emergency; other times it's because the movie is boring to me. Texting during movies doesn't really bother me that much.

As long as I am not disrupting anyone else and aren't making too much noise I figure its a personal choice.

Sometimes I have plans for after the movie and I am texting that person to give them a time estimate for when I will be done.

I guess if I ever get a text, I usually respond to it right away, so if I happen to be watching a movie, I may or may not respond right away, but if it's a really good friend I'll pause the movie to do it. If I'm at the theater I usually have my phone on silent and won't check it until the end, just because it's distracting for other people who are trying to watch it.

I can keep up with a movie without having to sit there and stare at the screen. Plus if it is someone I really want to speak with, of course I'm going to answer the text.

The only time I really text during a movie is when the movie is super boring. Other than that, I am usually not messing with me phone.

I usually text during movies just because I feel like I need to text the person back as soon as I can. If the movie is not that interesting, I will also text just to occupy my time.

I text during movies because texting has become a habit of mine. When I receive a text message, I immediately respond without thinking. Since this action has become a habit of mine, I try not to bring my phone in the movie theatres. If I am watching a movie at home alone I usually have my phone. If I am watching a movie with another person I choose to put my phone in another room so that I'm not rude and so I can spend time with that person.

I text during movies because it frustrates me when I text someone and it takes them a long time to respond, so I generally try to repsond to any messages as soon as I see it, even if it is during a movie.

Every once in awhile I text during a movie if it is an emergency or having a conversation with someone before the movie starts. I also text sometimes because the movie is not doing a good job at keeping my attention and I am distracted by my phone instead.

I text during a movie because every once in a while I will go with friends the day that my boyfriend works (who I don't get to see for 4 days while he works) so when he gets off we will text a few times. I am not disruptive about it; I turn down the brightness on my phone and it is on silent so it is not a concern to anyone else whether I text or not.

I text during movies because I have the habit of always texting back as soon as I get a messege that would require a response

Let's face it, everyone texts everywhere they go almost. Except maybe and hopefully church. Texting in a movie doesn't bother me when other people do it because they aren't making noise, they're just typing. I do it only if I receive a message that I want to or need to reply to quickly.

It really depends on the situation whether I text during the movie or not. If I am at the movie theater, I do not text because my sister will punch me, and it is rude. But when I am at home watching a movie by myself, I will text because I am probably just watching the movie to entertain myself. However, if I am with my family while watching a movie, I do not text so that we can have quality family time.

I reply to a text during a movie when it is important or needs to be answered immediately.

Its usually because its something that semi-needs my attention.

Sometimes I text during movies because I think is rude not to answer other people's texts. On the other hand, I also text when I get bored of watching the movie, but I do not want to leave because I want to watch the end of it.

Texting is a convient way to communicate short messages to individuals without disrupting others with a loud phone conversation.

Usually there is a boring part in every movie so if I'm having an important conversation with a friend, I won't stop it just for a movie. I think that can be rude too.

If i am on a date and watching a movie i try not to respond until it is over because i do not want to be rude to my date and be on my phone the whole time, but i if i am with friends i don't see the big deal in texting.

Actually, I don't like watch the movies. I have to go to cinema, because my girlfriend. So, I just do two things during the movie. One is sleeping and play phone.

Just because I'm watching a movie, it doesn't mean that my conversations stop. I just turn my brightness down on my phone and continue on with my conversation.

Honestly, I don't really enjoy movies but my boyfriend does. I usually get bored and end up texting to pass the time.

Sometimes I just get bored with the movie or with the person I am with.
