As I former dipper, I understand the struggle these people go through. It is a habit that consumes you, even when you are in denial. I didn't truly understand this until I tried to quit, and that's when I found out how dependent I was on this harmful product. Luckily, I have beaten it and am on to sunflower seeds!
I dip out of habit. I grew up in a country setting where that was just what you did in high school. I stopped for a year, but found myself wanting one after I ate or when just sitting around doing nothing. It helps pass the time.
I started dipping in high school. I grew up in the country and that was just what kids did. After 13-14 years of dipping, it is not the easiest thing to quit.
Just started doing it when I was in high school just cause I thought it was cool. No other really other reason for anyone to put something like that can potentially kill them and browns their teeth in their mouth. Young and dumb. I am in the process of quitting now.

I wear hats inside because I don't use them to block sunlight, but rather to match my outfit.

I dip tobacco to relax and it has become a habit

Honestly I think it just comes from being a baseball player.
I started dipping because everyone in my family does it. I find myself putting in a dip sometimes and I don't even realize
