Why do you litter?

I make a concerted effort to not do this- but it hasn't always been the case.

Laziness is a big factor. I don't want this crap in my car and I don't want to seek out a receptacle.

There was also an element of sad, dorky rebellion involved. I'll defy morays and leave my trash here in the parking lot.

If I litter, it is only on back roads in the woods so no one can really see that right?

I litter sometimes if it is not a trash can around and i get impatient holding things that are nasty and disgusting.

I litter because i feel like its easier then finding a trash can. I usually litter when i am in the car and i dont have a trash can so i think it is more convient.

I have a bad habit of spitting my gum out the window while I drive. I think that I do this because I see it as something so small that will not really harm anything; and getting rid of it is better than putting it in my car til the next trash can. I know this is something that I can work on by maybe keeping a small trash can in my car just for these occasions.

I litter when I'm driving and have no time to stop to throw something away. I know that it is wrong. But I do it when no one is looking.

I'm usually too lazy to walk to a trash can or find one. I guess throwing something on the ground is sometimes easier than finding a trashcan.

I'm too lazy and it gives the drunk drivers a way to better society. By picking up my litter, they can learn how to be a good citizen and gain a feeling of accomplishment. This feeling will allow them to better serve society after they have finished their sentence. So, really, my littering is bettering society.
