Why do you talk loudly on your mobile phone?

Obliviousness. My wife often lets me know that I'm being rude or inappropriate.

What's funny (or maybe not) is that I'm highly annoyed when I see others talking too loudly- especially inside of a shared vehicle.

I admit that I get annoyed when I hear other people talking loudly on their phone. In some cases, I have discovered that it is neccesary. I have a 93 year old grandfather who can't hear anything unless you scream at him.

Sometimes it is hard to hear the other person, so I think that I have to talk louder. Other times I talk loud on the phone because the person I am talking to cannot hear me. Most of the time I do not notice that I am talking loud.

I normally do not even notice that I am talking loud until my friends tell me. I guess I think the person on the other line will not be able to hear me.

I guess I assume they can't hear me. If I'm having a hard time hearing the person on the other line, I compensate by talking loudly. It doesn't make sense, but somehow in my head, it does.

I talk loudly on my cell when I am talking to someone and they say speak up I cant hear your or if there is music or others talking around me. I talk loudly if I cant hear the other person and feel that I need to speak louder. If I am excited about something I tend to talk loudly anyway.

I have a tough time hearing on phones regardless. Being that I can't hear well, I tend to talk louder because it sounds more normal to me personally.

I naturally talk loudly and so I just carry that over to conversations on mobile phones. Also, sometimes when I am on my phone I can barely hear what the other person is saying because they speak so softly; so by speaking loudly I know the other person will be able to hear me just fine.

Sometimes I do this without realizing it. If I'm in a louder place, I often raise my voice because I think that the person on the other line can't hear me. Sometimes though, I'm in a quieter place and just end up talking loudly on accident because I get carried away with the conversation, or because the other person is speaking loudly, too.

Most of the time I cannot hear the person on the other end so I end up speaking louder. I feel like if I cannot hear them, they cannot hear me either.

I always talk loudly with my grandma on my phone. They cannot hear if normal talk.

Often on mobile phones it is hard to hear people talking and people have trouble hearing me talk. I talk loudly to ensure they've heard the message I'm trying to send. It also adds some drama to the mix.
