Cracking my knuckles is a habit of mine. It is loud, obnoxious, and something I do often. I do not know when this began, but I now do it subconsciously. I do notice that I do it more often when I am more stressed out.
I crack my knuckles when I am bored, nervous, or in an awkward situation. I have never really thought of it as a habit that might irritate those around me
I crack my knuckles because I am the type of person who does not do well to sit still. Whenever I am sitting still, I tend to get uneasy. It gives me something to do. Whenever I am sitting still and my knuckles feel like they could be cracked, I do it. -Meghan Clayton
I started cracking my knuckles when I was in middle school because my cousin did it and I thought it was cool. Now, I crack my knuckles when I am bored or when I am anxious. It has become somewhat of a habit that I have never tried to break. Sometimes I feel that I need to crack them because it takes away pressure in my hands or my toes. I feel that it is acceptable to many people and I do not think that it is a big deal.
I crack my knuckles out of habit. My dad and sister crack their knuckles and boyfriend use to pop my fingers and thumbs and toes just trying to be irritating and now I crack them without thinking.
I have found I tend to crack my knuckles as a way of fidgeting when I am not doing anything else with my hands. I don't like to sit still and cracking my knuckles just gives me something to do with my hands.
I crack my knuckles out of a force of habit. It originally started from watching my dad do it and then my boyfriend would pop my fingers out of annoyance. Now I crack them subconsciously.
This is definitely something I do on a daily basis. There is really no scientific or emotional or biological reason behind this action, it is purely out of habit. Every morning when I wake up I crack my knuckles and I tend to do it several times throughout the day.
It is a bad habit I have had since I was very young, and now it is a stress reliever for me. Whenever I feel stressed or anxious, I always crack my knuckles.
I crack my knuckles several times a day out of habit. At first it was something I did out of stress or anxiety but now it has become a horrible habit that is hard to break!
It is a habit that I have done for many years. I do not know why I started cracking my knuckles. Sometimes I can feel extra pressure inside of a joint, once I "pop" that joint it always feels better.
My brother used to do it to me all the time and it hurt a lot, but I started doing it whenever I got nervous or wanted to see how much my back would crack.
I actually started cracking my knuckles when I would watch my dad do it. When I was younger (and thought my dad was the coolest person ever) I would watch him crack his and so I started cracking mine. He will actually still walk by us and pop our toes or our fingers if we are laying around at the house.
i crack my knuckles because I like the way it feels. I started doing it when I was younger and I have never stooped since. I know this can be bad for me when i get older but i can't seem to stop.
I just crack my knuckles purely out of habit. I do not even realise when I do it and since it has now been proven to have no distinct connection to arthritis then I do not see any major problem with doing it.
I started because I saw older siblings doing it and it slowly became a bad habit. Now I still continue because it actually makes my fingers feel better.
I often find that I crack my knuckles after finishing an essay. It relieves some pain that builds after typing or writing for extended periods of time.
It feels good to do that. But my coach used to get mad when we did that as kids because she told us that our hands are going hurt when we grow up. I hope it is not true.
